ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ''ਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ! 15 ਪਿਸਤੌਲਾਂ ਸਣੇ 8 ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ (ਵੈੱਬ ਡੈਸਕ): ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਪੁਲਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ  ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ 8 ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ 15 ਨਾਜਾਇਜ਼ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ ਅਤੇ 15 ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। 

ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਡੀ. ਜੀ. ਪੀ. ਗੌਰਵ ਯਾਦਵ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਮੰਗਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਜਾਂਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਸ ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਏ ਹਨ।

In a major breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police dismantles three illegal arms supply networks, apprehends 8 accused and recovers 15 illegal pistols, 15 live cartridges. Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were allegedly linked to foreign-based arms smugglers and were procuring illegal weapons for further distribution to criminal elements. Investigation has also revealed links of the accused with other associates involved in the illegal arms supply network. Separate FIRs have been registered at PS Cantonment, PS Islamabad & PS Chheharta, Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to uncover the complete backward and forward linkages and identify other persons involved. @PunjabPoliceInd remains committed to maintaining strict vigil against illegal arms trafficking and organised criminal networks and taking firm action against those involved in the illegal supply and circulation of weapons.

ਡੀ. ਜੀ. ਪੀ. ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਥਾਣਾ ਕੈਂਟ, ਇਸਲਾਮਾਬਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਛੇਹਰਟਾ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਐਫ.ਆਈ.ਆਰ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਪੂਰੇ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਦੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।
